With over 3,000 citations in 2013, the Journal of Investigative Dermatology has remained the leading journal in the field. To celebrate the JIDs new Impact Factor of 6.372, they assembled a collection of some of their most cited articles. Of those listed, two articles by DGEM members of staff were in the top twenty. These are a review article by Sara Brown and Irwin McLean on "One Remarkable Molecule: Filaggrin" and also an original research paper with Sara Brown as first author and, close DGEM collaborator Alan Irvine, as senior author for the published article "Intragenic Copy Number Variation within Filaggrin Contributes to the Risk of Atopic Dermatitis with a Dose-Dependent Effect". Both of these articles are freely available and can be downloaded here.
